After 10 seasons as the Arizona Cardinals' long snapper, Aaron Brewer is being replaced. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo, the Cardinals are signing former New York Giants long snapper Casey Kreiter. The report did not state how long the contract would be for.

Kreiter is 35 years old and has played 10 NFL seasons. He spent the last six playing for the Giants. The Cardinals' new special teams coordinator is Michael Ghobrial, who was the Giants' special teams coordinator before this season.

Kreiter's first four seasons were with the Denver Broncos. He was a Pro Bowler in 2018.

The Cardinals aren't getting any younger. Kreiter is one month younger. Brewer will turn 36 in July. Krieter's birthday is in August.

This could mean that Brewer is ready to return from the NFL after 14 NFL seasons, or it could mean that Ghobrial wanted to bring in a familiar face, someone who knows his techniques and coaching.

The Cardinals' trio of specialists will mostly be the same. Punter Blake Gillikin and kicker Chad Ryland agreed to one-year deals to return, so they will have to work to build rapport Kreiter.
