As the 2026 FIFA World Cup final approaches, ticket prices for the match between Argentina and Spain are hitting ridiculous levels.
According to TickPick, the get-in price for the World Cup final on the secondary market is an astounding $10,000.
Meanwhile, the average ticket price is $18,822, which sets a new record for a sporting event.
And that amount is double the previous record, which was held by Super Bowl LVIII that had an average price of $9,411.

We never thought we’d see the day when a sporting event would make Super Bowl ticket prices look cheap, but here we are.
The hype for this World Cup final between Argentina and Spain is through the roof — and as a result, so are the ticket prices.

Spain is considered the favorite ahead of the World Cup final against Argentina because Spain sports the better roster overall.
But Argentina will have the best player on the field in Lionel Messi, who is having an electric World Cup run that has seen him score eight goals and notch four assists in 712 minutes.
Messi has further solidified his greatness in the process, with the Argentina superstar now being the all-time World Cup leader in goals, assists, dribbles, Golden Balls and G/A.
After stubbing their toe in the opening match of the group stage against Cape Verde, Spain has mostly cruised since then en route to yet another World Cup final appearance.
Argentina had the opposite kind of run, with Messi and Co. easily navigating the group stage before facing some stiff tests in the knockout stage.

Argentina defeated England in the semi-finals to get into the final, while Spain topped France in their previous matchup.
This will be just the second meeting between Argentina and Spain in World Cup history.
The last meeting took place all the way back in 1966, when Argentina notched a 2-1 victory over Spain at Villa Park in Birmingham.
