Los Angeles Dodgers' Andy Pages watched the second Eephus pitch float toward home plate.

Similar to the wait of a slow softball pitch, Houston Astros "relief" pitcher/catcher Cesar Salazar released a 53-mph offering that Pages tracked, slowly, but eventually launched into the left-center field seats at Daikin Park for his third home run Wednesday, lifting the Dodgers to a 12-2 victory.

It was Pages' first career three-home-run outing. His six RBI were also a career-best effort.

Pages, who had not homered in nearly three weeks, capped Wednesday's effort with a short at-bat. Facing a position player, Pages connected on his eighth homer of the season.

Serving as a mop-up pitcher last season, Salazar pitched a scoreless and hitless inning last season.

With the Dodgers leading 3-1 Wednesday, Pages' power surge started in the third inning, a three-run blast against Lance McCullers Jr. (2-3), which started to break the game open. On the eighth pitch of the at-bat, Pages connected on a 91-mph sinker, scoring Freddie Freeman and Kyle Tucker.

Pages' second homer was a two-run blast off Jason Alexander in the fifth inning, extending the Dodgers' lead to 9-1.

Pages' three-homer game matched Max Muncy's effort April 11 against the Texas Rangers.
