The Ohio State Buckeyes get a lot of recognition for how great their receiver rooms have been over the last few years. The Buckeyes' quarterbacks help the receivers look good. This upcoming season, Julian Sayin is trying to back up the hype.
In a recent article, Blake Brockermeyer lists the Buckeyes' quarterback room as one of the best in the country. Here is what he had to say about the Buckeyes signal callers:
"Ohio State returns Julian Sayin, who looked elite for most of last season before the Buckeyes' offensive line was outmatched late in the year.
Sayin showed ridiculous accuracy, completing 77% of his passes for more than 3,600 yards while doing a strong job protecting the football as a first-year starter. He should have more authority this season to check plays and audible at the line of scrimmage, and Ohio State is once again loaded across the entire offense.
Behind him, Tavien St. Clair is one of the more talented backup options in the country. He got 13 reps last season, was a top recruit in the 2024 class and looked fantastic in the spring game. His biggest hurdle may simply be waiting to see whether Sayin returns for another season or leaves for the NFL."
Julian Sayin made quite the impression last season with a great quarterback statistical season in his freshman year. He looked poised beyond his years, and he was historically efficient this season. Saying having another great season seems extremely evident with the weapons he has and last year's success. If Sayin is ready to leave after this year, Ohio State will be in great hands with Tavien St. Clair, who has superstar potential.
