Robertson, a cornerback, has spent the last two seasons with the Lions. He played mostly in the slight early in his tenure with Detroit, though he moved to the outside late in 2024 and for much of 2025 after injuries to regular starters D.J. Reed and Terrion Arnold. Robertson played a key role in Detroit's Week 18 win over the Minnesota Vikings in 2024, helping limit Minnesota's offense in a victory that clinched the Lions their second consecutive NFC North title.

Things were rockier in 2025, both for Robertson personally and for the Lions as a whole, though he remained a highly-respected veteran in the locker room who the coaching staff trusted.
