Alabama high school cheerleaders are actively taking the stage for national recognition.
Division II competition at the UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship begins Friday, Jan. 30, and runs through Sunday, Feb. 1 as part of the newly branded National School Spirit Championships at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida.
The championships bring together several major events, including the UDA National Dance Team Championship and the newly added National School Band Championship.
The Division II weekend features schools with enrollments of 1-1,399 students, including multiple Alabama programs that earned bids at qualifying UCA regional events during the 2025-26 season. DI competition, for schools with more than 1,400 students, will take place Feb. 6-8.
