Alabama Crimson Tide guard Zaay Green has been selected in the 2025 WNBA draft, taken with the No. 32 overall pick in the third round by the Washington Mystics.
Green is the third Alabama player to be selected Monday night, joining teammates Sarah Ashlee Barker and Aaliyah Nye. Barker went No. 9 overall in the first round to the Los Angeles Sparks, while Nye came off the board at No. 13 in the second round to the Las Vegas Aces.
A player who originally began her career at Tennessee, Green transferred to Alabama prior to the 2024-25 season from Arkansas-Pine Bluff, a move that turned out to be impactful for the guard.
This past season, Green averaged 15.7 points, 5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game across 33 games, each of which she started, while also shooting 46.7% from the field. Green also shot 36.1% from three-point range, as well as 65.4% at the free throw line.
