As the 2024-25 regular season is in its final week, the Oklahoma City Thunder are about as fully healthy as one could hope for. Being out since January, Ajay Mitchell will be available to play against the Utah Jazz on Friday.

Mitchell missed the last three months recovering from a toe sprain that required surgery. The 22-year-old has ramped up his physical activity over the last week at the practice facility. He took it a step further when he participated in pregame warmups before the Thunder's 136-120 win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday.

During his absence, the Thunder converted Mitchell from a two-way to a standard deal. This allows the second-round rookie to be playoff-eligible. It was a formality that became official as he played his way up the rotation as a backup bench guard.

Considering the Thunder's rich depth and lack of experience, it'll be unfair to expect Mitchell to play a large role in the playoffs. Still, it's nice to see him back for the playoffs and these last two regular-season games could prove as a tune-up after being out for several months.

Mitchell has averaged 6.4 points, two rebounds and 1.7 assists in 34 games. He's shot 43.1% from 3 on 1.5 attempts.
