(WDHN)—The Alabama Sports Writers Association announced its latest selections for the 2025 All-State football teams, and from the 7A classification to the AISA, the Wiregrass was well-represented with multiple players claiming their spots on the list.
The All-State team came from nominations from statewide coaches to their respective sports writers and was voted on by the ASWA’s prep committee. Players must be nominated by their coaches to be considered.

Class 7A
First-Team All-State:
- RB: AJ Alexander, Dothan, Sr.
- OL: Aden Jackson, Dothan, Sr.
- LB: Walker Turner, Enterprise, Sr.
- DB: Ai’King Hall, Dothan, Jr.
Second-Team All-State:
- OL: Cates Blackmon, Enterprise, Sr.
Class 4A
Second-Team All-State:
- DL: Junior Smith, Dale County, Sr.
- DB: Savon Barnes, Opp, Jr.
Honorable Mention:
- WR: DJ Hines, Opp, Sr.
Class 2A
First-Team All-State:
- DL: Gabe Jones, Ariton, Sr.
- P: Addison Senn, Ariton, Jr.
Second-Team All-State:
- LB: Wells Ganey, Ariton, Sr.
- DB: Colson Love, Providence Christian, Sr.
- DB: Kade Strength, Cottonwood, Jr.
- ATH: Caden Hutchings, Geneva County, Sr.
- ATH: Trevor Tillman, Cottonwood, So.
- ATH: Preston Williams, G.W. Long, Jr.
AISA

- QB: Ahmod Billins, Abbeville Christian, Sr.
- WR: Jayden Buckhannon, Abbeville Christian, Sr.

Coach of the Year:
- Stefan Gainey, Abbeville Christian
In total, 20 athletes from WDHN’s coverage area earned a spot on the 2025 ASWA All-State Football rosters.
