The Daytona News-Journal created its 105-man roster of all-timeUCF greats, and nine defensive ends across Knights history have graced the All-FBS team since the program joined the FBS 30 years ago.
Many talented defensive ends have stepped foot on campus in Orlando. Some have made program history, putting UCF on the map, and have been drafted by the NFL, representing the Black and Gold.
The Knights' All-FBS team is not limited to players who finished their collegiate careers in Orlando. Transfers and players who did not finish their career at UCF made the News-Journal's 105-man roster.
Thursday's list will focus on the nine defensive ends who made the News-Journal's All-FBS team.
Miller was a perennial all-conference player two seasons after redshirting his freshman year in 2006. He made second-team All-C-USA in 2008, back-to-back first-team All-C-USA and C-USA Defensive Player of the Year in 2009 and 2010. Miller holds UCF's career sacks record with 31.5.
The San Francisco 49ers selected him in the 7th round as the 211th overall pick. He transitioned from defensive end to fullback despite such a dominant career rushing the quarterback.
Lawrence was a rare breed of college football player. He stayed at UCF for his entire collegiate career and became the highest defensive draft pick in program history in April's draft.
The Dallas Cowboys selected him with the 23rd overall pick after he impressed at the NFL Scouting Combine and was named to the All-Big 12 first team.
Patterson was named to the first-team All-MAC in 2002 and finished his career with 30.5 sacks. That ranks fourth all-time in Knights history, and he was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals with the 259th overall pick in the seventh round of the 2003 NFL Draft.
Carrington amassed 139 tackles across 46 games at UCF. He also tallied 30.5 tackles for loss, 16 sacks, five fumble recoveries, four forced fumbles, two blocked kicks, eight pass break-ups and an interception.
He finished the 2005 season leading C-USA in sacks with nine.
Morris-Brash was a dominant defensive end in his fifth year with the Knights. He finished the year with 56 tackles, 20.5 tackles for loss for 99 yards, 8.5 sacks for 71 yards and four quarterback hurries.
The fifth-year defensive end topped the Big 12 in tackles for loss and was second in sacks.
Benoit finished his career at UCF with 28.5 sacks. It's the fifth-most sacks all-time behind Patterson.
Geathers transferred to UCF from Feather River College in Quincy, California. He played 25 games throughout his career and helped the Knights reach the St. Petersburg Bowl in his senior season.
The Feather River transfer was voted All-C-USA first team in 2009, tallying 29 total tackles, 11 sacks and 13.5 tackles for loss.
Hayes was named second-team All-ACC in back-to-back seasons (2018-2019). He finished with 64 tackles and 10.5 sacks combined in his junior and senior years.
Kelly lined up on the opposite side of Lawrence last season. The duo wreaked havoc against opposing quarterbacks as pass rushers.
The Miami transfer recorded 46 tackles, three sacks and 7.5 tackles for loss. He went undrafted in April, but the Green Bay Packers picked him up as an UDFA. They signed him to a contract worth over $250,000, as he impressed at OTAs and minicamp.
