Five-star defensive lineman Marcus Fakatou is down to three schools, per Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett. Fakatou’s top three schools include the Texas Longhorns, Ohio State Buckeyes and Georgia Bulldogs, as Fakatou has remained closely tied to Georgia throughout his recruitment.
Standing at 6-foot-6, 275 pounds, Fakatou is a massive defensive lineman who has flashed his potential on numerous occasions at Sierra Canyon High School in Chatsworth, California. The rising star would have an opportunity to quickly make a name for himself on Georgia’s defensive line next season, as Fakatou would arguably be the Dawgs’ top commitment from the 2027 class. Fakatou took an official visit to Georgia on May 31, and the talented big man appears to be closing in on a final decision soon.
Fakatou is regarded as one of the top players from his recruiting class. He is ranked as the No. 2 defensive lineman and the No. 24 overall player from the class of 2027, per the 247Sports Composite Rankings. Fakatou is listed as the No. 3 overall player out of California, and the rising star could be a massive addition for the Bulldogs very soon.
Fakatou has an elite combination of size and athleticism. He has posted a 4.73 time in the 40-yard dash and also plays tight end for his high school.
Georgia has been named as a top landing spot for some of the most talented players from the 2027 class. Five-star wide receiver Eric McFarland added UGA to his top three schools, while four-star quarterback Colton Nussmeier has committed to Georgia recently.
