Sharing the update via Instagram, Bird and Rapinoe explained the reasoning behind the move.

“This hasn’t been an easy decision, but it’s one we’ve made together, with so much love, respect, and care for each other.

“We’ve shared a whole life over the last decade, through big moments and in quiet ones, and that is something we’ll always carry with us,” the retired WNBA stars said.

The two confirmed they will be stepping away from doing their podcast together, bringing an end to a project that gave fans a closer look into their lives and perspectives.

Even with the decision made, Bird made it clear that the connection with their audience is not disappearing.

“While this chapter of doing the podcast together is ending, what we’ve built with you isn’t,” they added.

As part of that, Bird and Rapinoe revealed they will release six farewell episodes to properly close out the podcast and give fans a final run of content together.

The move reflects a deliberate ending rather than an abrupt stop, allowing them to step away while acknowledging the community they built through the show.

So while the podcast is coming to a close, Bird’s message made one thing clear. The partnership itself remains intact, even as this chapter ends.
