The San Francisco 49ers have been fairly active this offseason, adding a few free agents from other teams while some of their players who ended last season on the roster have departed for new opportunities.
While San Francisco will likely add more as the offseason rolls on, let's take a look at what the offense looks like after the first week of free agency.
*All bolded names are new additions*
The quarterback room remains exactly the same, despite the constant rumors of a potential Mac Jones trade. It looks like the 49ers are comfortable keeping him around unless they get blown away.
Christian McCaffrey is set to lose his backup, as Brian Robinson Jr. is still on the market, but 2025 fifth-round pick Jordan James is expected to take his spot on the depth chart this year.
Wide receiver got the biggest change of any position for the 49ers this season, as they've lost/are losing Jauan Jennings, Kendrick Bourne, Skyy Moore and Trent Taylor. However, the addition of Evans is legitimately game-changing, as Purdy has a legit No. 1 wideout to throw.
The tight end room hasn't experience any changes, but Kittle will likely miss a good chunk of the year with the torn Achilles, so it was great that they were able to get Tonges back for 2026.
Along the offensive line, San Francisco had Ben Bartch and Spencer Burford hit the market, leaving a hole at left guard. Toth could fill that spot, but it could be a competition between he and Colby when the offseason program starts.
