On the eve of the 2025 NFL draft, final forecasts and declarations are being made.

With the No. 11 overall pick in hand, the San Francisco 49ers will be drafting relatively early on Thursday night and should be able to secure one of the best players at one of their positions of need.

With the draft almost here, CBS Sports' Pete Prisco shared his "what teams should do" mock draft. Prisco feels that the 49ers should draft LSU offensive tackle Will Campbell at pick No. 11.

He can be the Trent Williams replacement in the future, but for now he plays left guard, which I think is his more natural position. They could also consider defensive line here, but I think there is more value taking Campbell. - Prisco, CBS Sports.

Under Prisco's scenario of picks, San Francisco would land the second offensive tackle and second offensive linemen taken in the draft.

A 6-foot-6, 319 pound offensive tackle, Campbell was a finalist for the Lombardi Award and was honored as a first-team AP All-American in 2024. According to Pro Football Focus, Campbell earned an offensive grade of 72.2 and a pass blocking grade of 80.6. Per PFF, Campbell surrendered just a pair of sacks over his final two seasons in Baton Rouge.

Adding one of the best offensive tackles and offensive linemen in the draft while also finding a potential successor to Trent Williams at left tackle may be too good of an opportunity to pass up.
