For the third consecutive season the San Francisco 49ers will not play any international games.

Their entire schedule won't be released until Wednesday at 5:00pm Pacific Time, but leaks from the NFL included their full slate of international contests. None of those involve the 49ers despite a handful of opportunities for the NFL to send the club to one of its five out-of-country sites.

The Jacksonville Jaguars, Cleveland Browns and Indianapolis Colts are all on the 49ers' schedule and hosting an international game. Jacksonville is set to visit Levi's Stadium so their overseas game wasn't on the docket for the 49ers. San Francisco does have dates in Cleveland and Indianapolis who are also hosting games in London and Berlin, respectively.

Instead, the Browns are playing host to the Minnesota Vikings on Oct. 5 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. The Colts will host the Atlanta Falcons on on Nov. 9 at Olympic Stadium in Berlin.

This marks the third year in a row for the 49ers without an international game. They last played outside the United States in 2022 when they faced the Arizona Cardinals at Estadio Azteco in Mexico City. It also marks the 12th-straight year for the 49ers without an overseas contest. They haven't had to play across the Atlantic since the 2013 season when they beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 42-10 at Wembley Stadium in London.
