Michael Hollick, a 39-year-old rookie on the DP World Tour, won for the first time on the circuit on Sunday. Hollick made eagle on the 18th hole to leapfrog fellow South African Hennie Du Plessis and win the 2026 BMW International Open by a stroke.

Hollick was tied for the 54-hole lead but found himself three shots back with two holes to play Sunday at Golfclub Munchen Eichenried in Munich, Germany. But the Hollick eagle, coupled with a Du Plessis bogey on the 17th, added up to Hollick's memorable first win.

Hollick shot a final-round 67, scoring in the 60s all four days, to finish at 18 under with Du Plessis at 17 under. Bernd Weisberger was solo third at 14 under. Carlos Ortiz of LIV Golf tied for fourth at 12 under. Ashun Wu and Joaquin Niemann, also of LIV, each shot 70 to finish in a share of seventh at 10 under, with Marco Penge, Joe Dean, Kiradech Aphribarnrat and Victor Perez at 9 under.

YouTuber Brad Dalke, who recently announced he's stepping away from Good Good Golf, tied for 30th. He made the cut after posting scores of 69-66 but shot 75-73 on the weekend.

Meanwhile, two golfers earned spots into the PGA Tour's Genesis Scottish Open this week. Eugenio Chacarra missed the BMW cut but still clinched the 2026 European Swing on the DP World Tour and is headed to the Scottish. In addition, Oliver Lindell finished the BMW as the leading available DP World Tour golfer not otherwise exempt from the European Swing Rankings, so he, too, has earned an invite to the Scottish.

Five golfers earn spots in 2026 Open Championship

Despite the brutal finish Sunday for Du Plessis, there was a silver lining, as he earned a spot on the tee sheet at the 2026 British Open at Royal Birkdale in two weeks. Du Plessis qualified by virtue of being one of the top five golfers in the Race to Dubai Rankings who were not already exempt. The other four also headed to the Open are Wiesberger, Jayden Schaper, Andy Sullivan and Dan Bradbury.
