For the 39th time in program history, Texas baseball will play in the Men's College World Series.Texas hasn't made the final since 2009 and hasn't won it all since 2005.

But in 2026, UT is back. And the Longhorns will play SEC foe Georgia to begin things.

Here's what fans and observers had to say after the Longhorns beat the Ducks 6-5 on Sunday.

Here’s a remarkable sports statistic: The University of Texas at Austin has now qualified for 39 of the total 79 NCAA Men’s College World Series. That’s 49.4% of all MCWS. UT has earned its self-declared nickname “The University of Texas at Omaha” on the field. https://t.co/FX3cDWnnk6
