It's been a long time coming for Bobby McMann.

The everyday Toronto Maple Leafs forward will make his Stanley Cup Playoffs debut when he is set to be in the lineup for Game 1 against the Ottawa Senators.

"I'm definitely excited, " McMann told The Hockey News on Saturday. "I've been watching the last couple of years, seeing the energy in the building and seeing the energy from the guys. Just how fun it is and doing everything you can do to win."

'His Journey Is A Great One': Bobby McMann Hits 20-Goal Mark With Maple Leafs For First Time In NHL CareerMcMann has 20 goals and 13 assists for 33 points in 63 games with the Maple Leafs this season.
McMann came into his own as an everyday player with the Maple Leafs during the 2023-24 season, scoring 15 goals in 56 games and earning a two-year, $2.7 million contract extension. He was all set to participate in the postseason but sustained a lower-body injury just before the playoffs began.

But now, a fully healthy McMann has another NHL season under his belt—his best yet—scoring 20 goals in 74 games while getting ready to compete in the playoffs.

McMann's focus will be on sticking to what has made him successful while not trying to do too much.

I think it's just trying to focus on what I try to do the whole way through," McMann said. Knowing what time of year and what the intensity is going to be like," he said. "Just being able to rely on my game is big"

McMann will play on Toronto's third line alongside Pontus Holmberg and Nick Robertson. The trio ended the regular season together as Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube sticks to the forward lineup and combinations that he had to end the regular season.

McMann won't have any extra family on hand. He, like other Leafs are just trying to focus on the game ahead and not let any of the external stuff get in the way.
