The Seattle Seahawks have lost a handful of starters to NFL free agency. General manager John Schneider did well to retain cornerback Josh Jobe and wide receiver Rashid Shaheed. The first wave of NFL free agency has reshuffled the Seahawks' NFL draft needs.
Schneider will now shift attention to the 2026 NFL draft. The Seahawks must replace some of the outgoing contributors. With that in mind, we've conducted a three-round mock draft that addresses the Seahawks' remaining holes.
The Seahawks do not have a third cornerback capable of starting behind Devon Witherspoon and Jobe. Losing Riq Woolen created an immediate hole here. Tennessee cornerback Colton Hood is incredibly athletic and competitive. His technique is a work in progress, but Mike Macdonald is the ideal coach to develop him.
Losing Kenneth Walker III to the Kansas City Chiefs means the Seahawks will be drafting his replacement. Signing Emanuel Wilson was a depth move and does not address the actual need. Arkansas running back Mike Washington Jr. ran a 4.33-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, establishing himself as a top-64 pick.
Schneider believes in constantly restocking the cupboard at EDGE. Boye Mafe was lost to free agency and there's no guarantee Derick Hall, DeMarcus Lawrence, and/or Uchenna Nwosu return in 2027. Derrick Moore is an athletic pass rusher who enjoyed a breakout season at Michigan in 2025. Schneider loves drafting an EDGE a year early, and this would satisfy that line of thinking.
