The NFL draft will kick off Thursday in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The seven-round NFL draft will conclude Saturday.
17 former Vols have been selected during the Josh Heupel era as Tennessee’s head coach. Tennessee has produced 391 all-time NFL draft picks, including the AFL draft.
Defensive back Jermod McCoy played at Tennessee from 2024-25. He appeared in 13 games for the Vols and recorded 44 tackles, 0.5 tackles for a loss, four interceptions, 71 interception yards, 13 pass deflections, six punt returns and 59 punt return yards.
The 6-foot, 193-pound cornerback did not play for the Vols in 2025 due to rehabbing from an offseason knee injury.
He participated in Tennessee’s pro day and recorded a 40-yard dash time of 4.37 seconds on March 31.
McCoy transferred to Tennessee from Oregon State after the 2023 season. As a freshman in 2023 at Oregon State, he recorded 31 tackles, two interceptions, seven pass deflections and one fumble recovery.
McCoy is from Whitehouse High School in Whitehouse, Texas. He announced his intention to declare for the NFL draft on Dec. 10, 2025.
