The Chicago Bears are finalizing their plans ahead of the 2025 NFL draft, where they're in a prime position to land some talent with their four Top 75 selections.
Following an impactful offseason that included overhauling the entire interior offensive line and shoring up the defensive trenches, the Bears have flexibility when it comes to their selections -- drafting the best available rather than for need.
In a new USA Today network-wide mock draft, I played the role of general manager Ryan Poles when making the Chicago's selection at No. 10. For what it's worth, there were no trades and offensive linemen Will Campbell and Armand Membou, defensive tackle Mason Graham and running back Ashton Jeanty were all off the board when it was time to pick.
So it was an easy decision to choose Penn State tight end Tyler Warren, who's already made a name for himself among this Bears coaching staff after impressing on film.
Last season at Penn State, Warren totaled 104 receptions for 1,233 yards and eight touchdowns, all career highs. He's one of the top playmakers in this draft and would thrive in Ben Johnson's offense with his ability to line up anywhere and create mismatches. A 1-2 punch of Cole Kmet and Warren would be huge for this offense.

The Bears are in a position to draft the best available after their offseason moves. With Will Campbell, Ashton Jeanty and Armand Membou all off the board, Tyler Warren could very well be the guy. Ben Johnson had high praise for Warren, where it sounds like he’s already scheming up all the different ways to utilize him on offense. Even new Bears defensive coordinator Dennis Allen made it clear how much of a headache it would be to go against a player like Warren.
