The new English season is underway as Arsenal and Man City go head-to-head in the Community Shield in Cardiff.



There was plenty of anticipation ahead of the 2026/27 curtain-raiser, with these Premier League heavyweights looking for a positive start to the campaign.


Few would have anticipated such a rapid impact from last season's title winners, Arsenal, who burst forward and led through Riccardo Calafiori's low strike after just 23 seconds.

The ideal start for Mikel Arteta's side, who also broke the record for the fastest-ever goal in the Community Shield.
