    Not many QBs go into their final year with no extension. It’s also best to buy low on an asset if the plan is to stick with him. If they don’t draft a QB I think they will have to offer the extension mid next year.

    Fields is at least getting a Daniel Jones level contract which is an AAV of $40m. You have a better chance to win with Fields than Jones IMO.

    Both are bigger guys and coming out of coming were known for their high pointing skill. They were both matchup nightmares in college due to their size. Keon is very good off of press coverage as was Allen Robinson but has the great ability to go up for the ball like Higgins.

    That means in college he gets no separation. His biggest weakness is his footwork. His NFL comps are Allen Robinson and Tee Higgins. I think he could be a good WR2, too bad we need a WR1. He could def be available with the Texans pick. He is in no way worth a top 5 pick.

    That role may be more important in todays NFL ie Tyreek Hill, Ceedee Lamb and Amon Ra St.Brown….I’d rather have an amazing slot guy than an outside receiver.

    You have it backwards. What’s the point of a $40m+ QB if we aren’t going to be competitive. Use the savings of a rookie contract to spend money on the other positions of need. Then we can either extend the QB or be in the niners position where we have everything in place but the QB.

    Given the weather and amount of snaps you can argue Trubisky outplayed Kyler today. Combine the two bum Pitt Qbs and they have a better completion rating and more yards. I’m not gonna settle for mediocrity with that contract.
