2026 NBA Finals Knicks vs Spurs

We're finally seeing that Son-in-law material from him that Monty raved about. He didn't look like the same guy.

2026 NBA Finals Knicks vs Spurs

I picked San Antonio to win but would prefer the Knicks. They've surprised me tonight. The Suns can in me won't let me root for the Spurs.

Nobody’s knows but it’s fun to speculate. (Phoenix Suns Rumors). 2026

Smaller guys seem less willing to take hits. There are exceptions like Nash over the years but largely guards avoid contact to stop guys. I think part of that has to do with making their fouls count and being on the perimeter they use fouls on guys who slip past them so they need to make each...

2026 NBA Finals Knicks vs Spurs

Seems to be the new thing to run a Center with 4 guards. Both the Spurs and Knicks are doing that. Obviously the Suns do. There's probably more teams that run lineups like that than traditional lineups. OKC, Minnesota, and Cleveland are the only ones that stand out as running more traditional...

Barkley roasting the women of San Antonio for an entire series may end up more entertaining than the games themselves.

2026 NBA Finals Knicks vs Spurs

Knicks need game 1 to make this a series. Even then I think San Antonio has too many big guards that will harass Brunson and make him work. They can alternate Castle, Harper, Vassell, and Fox on him. He'll have a lot of long nights and will need Anunoby, KAT, Mikal. and Hart to play at a high level.

Mike Budenholzer - Officially Suns new Head Coach - NOW FIRED on 4/14/2025

There is a look that most alcoholics have. Puffy face, red skin, with an angry or dejected demeanor. I say that as a former alcoholic. Maybe Budenholzer is sober or has his drinking under control but now that it's been suggested I don't feel bad for throwing my 2 cents in as I'm not outing him...

I was thinking the same thing. He has the look of an alcoholic.

    Suns 2025-2026 Season Discussion

Backup Center is vastly underappreciated. Not having a backup C in the finals was a large reason Milwaukee won and we lost. Say what you want about Ayton but he was also much better that year than Oso or Maluach figure to be this next season also which makes the need for a quality backup more...

    Suns 2025-2026 Season Discussion

I don't understand anyone thinking Zion is the answer for Williams availability issues. Zion misses about the same number of games as Williams and makes max money. I'd rather run it back with Mark for a 1/4 of the cost of Zion.

The trade for Harden was a mistake. I'm a big fan of Garland and feel like they should have let it ride or trade Mitchell. I don't see Mitchell as the key piece on a contender.

Yaxel is a lottery pick, from what I've seen mocked. It'll be costly to get that high.

News from around the NBA 2025-2026

It sucks for teams like Sacramento, Washington, and Memphis but they have helped create their own problems as well. This new way may make it harder to dig out but no one should want to fall so far. They're lucky the league doesn't act like European Soccer and have tiers, sending teams down to...

Got to have a coach willing to call for that. I don't see Ott doing that. I can see Vogel doing that but he's only one since Monty who might.

Suns Hire Ott as New Coach

Too bad the team struggled to close the season. I suspect that cost him no less than 2 spots.

That deal is worse than initially suggested. Absolutely no chance. Even if it removed Highsmith, Bouyea, and any picks.

    2026 off season

I'd do that just for @Phrazbit reaction. If we got a pick or picks them I'd be in favor. They could be 2nd rounders.

Is he? He's won in one place, the team that won a championship before and after his tenure. His legacy will be debated for a long while when he hangs them up. He's essentially a Carmelo Anthony type scorer who can lock in on D but doesn't often and ultimately cares more how he's viewed than his...

Maybe the early years but we had CP3 and KD both requesting to be traded here. So Sarver's final years weren't bad, largely thanks to Book.

Huntley was on a Two-Way last year and then waived when we brought in Booyea before he was brought back on a straight G-League dea. There seems to be interest since we didn't just let him walk. Hopefully he's retained on a Two-Way so he can take another step forward. I like his game.

Will Suns win more games this year than last

Barring a major trade, Jalen or Book, I believe we'll finish similarly in the conference. Wins are hard to predict and not as relevant. Some years 50 wins takes the West and other years it isn't enough for the playoffs. We'll likely be 7th in the West and back to the play-in.

Ayton has talent also. Risacher would frustrate in a similar fashion. I know Risacher wouldn't be our #1 pick but he'd cost us real talent. Plus he's more of a tweened forward, which isn't what we need. We'd lose Royce and Dunn but his inconsistency is worse than Dunn and he's 3-4 times the cost.

Devin Booker is the greatest player EVER in Suns history

Sarver didn't want to pay Amare because no one would insure his knees. That was a risky deal. I think the Suns should have done it given who they gambled on but we didn't know at the time that was the plan. So Amare wanted to stay but wouldn't concede in any way as far as guaranteed years or...

I can see that. They are flopping but it's viewed through a different lens. Kind of like how LeBron is viewed. Everyone knows he's good and doesn't need to flop but he does. The league rewards it, in a way, so they lean into it and it gets worse and worse over time.
