I am surprised they didn't get an amnesty provision like teams got back in the 00's and early 10's. With a more restrictive tax it would have been beneficial to teams.

News from around the NBA 2025-2026

I'd be surprised if there are drastic changes. Now that teams seem to be adjusted to the new CBA it appears to have leveled the playing field. It would be nice if they somehow found a way to counteract injuries so teams aren't quick to throw in the towel on a season when a star goes down. See...

    CBS Cancels The Late Show

Suns Off Season Changes for 2025-26

That's a fair offer for the pick and I'd be upset if Maluach wasn't there and they turned it down. As is though I don't trust the Suns to use the extra pick wisely so I believe passing was the best decision. Maluach falling to use was a blessing. We didn't need another Halliburton situation...

Suns Off Season Changes for 2025-26

I agree on Grayson but not Royce. He's making less than the MLE and he is a proven 3&D wing with experience. He's exactly the sort of guy contenders will look to add at the deadline and should be retained for that reason. I'm not opposed to trading him at all but his value will peak in late...

Suns Off Season Changes for 2025-26

I'm not even in favor of him but it would be hard to turn down a deal that turns Grayson into Kuminga. My main concern after that would be him living up to his contract or being able to move him before other teams view his contract as toxic.

    Suns sign Forward Nigel Hayes-Davis

I'm hoping for a PJ Tucker scenario. That's going back a little further but I can't shake Weems from my mind. Helps keep me grounded and won't be hard for Hayes-Davis to eclipse him.

    Suns sign Forward Nigel Hayes-Davis

I can't help but think of Sonny Weems in comparison to Nigel Hayes-Davis. He can't be worse. It has definitely helped keep my expectations in check. I hope NHD can be productive here.

Suns Off Season Changes for 2025-26

He says who doesn't like when their name comes up. That doesn't equal an aversion to risk. You can disagree with his views on individual players without trying to paint with a broad brush. Why even appeal to other stances before you make a case as to why he, or anyone, should be in favor of...

Jalen Green / Dillon Brooks thread

He doesn't have to become a pass first PG but if he can become a playmaking guard like Booker that will help. I think we're going to look a lot like Cleveland last year with Garland and Mitchell. Neither is a true PG but together they equal one.

The 2025 NBA Off Season (includes free agency)

Clippers not Lakers. Much more tolerable.

Suns Off Season Changes for 2025-26

We're on the hook for Grayson for $16-17 million over the next years. I'd rather pay the difference for Kuminga because he's likely more in line with what we need. I wouldn't be excited but I'd prefer Kuminga.

Suns Off Season Changes for 2025-26

$20 million wouldn't be bad. He wants $30+ though and that's the issue.

Suns Off Season Changes for 2025-26

They replaced him with a 36 year old Jimmy Butler. He wasn't their PF regularly. He was Golden State's Ayton. I don't understand why anyone here is pining for him. He isn't the answer. He wouldn't be bad for cheap but it's likely he'll be a bad contract by year 2.

Suns Off Season Changes for 2025-26

I like Oso the person but not the player. I just don't see it with him. I'm a little surprised you are in his camp. I was indifferent on him last year but am ready to cut bait now. Kuminga from 2 years was worth $30 million a year but like Ayton, he has regressed mentally. I think we could use...

Suns Off Season Changes for 2025-26

Oso is the only additional piece I'd add. I have little hope or faith that Kuminga earns his salary. Golden State giving up on him should be a warning sign. He's not even a regular starter on a team desperate for size. He's a tweener forward who won't solve our problems. I honestly believe...

Suns Off Season Changes for 2025-26

The league has been trending in this direction for a while in regards to PG's. There aren't many true PG's in the league and even some of the top guys labeled as PG's like Shai, Cade, and even Fox are combo guards. Halliburton is probably one of the few true PG's under 30 that is a legit...
