I don't know, but I did see Cromartie do one of his infamous "Ole tackles" in a similar situation; and didn't even get a hand on Bell. Could that be the play you are thinking of?
Good points, but I am more concerned with their defense than the offense. But then again the Cardinals did just win against the statistically best defense in the NFL! :)
That was the most impressive and most surprising aspect of the game!
My major concern going in was that Detroit's DL was going to dominate the game. Didn't happen. Well done, Veldheer, Larsen, Sendlein, Fanaika, and Massie! :raccoon::raccoon:
I am overall happy with the play of Cromartie for the Cardinals. But on one of J. Bell's longer runs today Cromartie had contain on the outside edge and when Bell cut inside of him, instead of closing down and making an attempt to tackle Bell short of the line of scrimmage, Cromartie did one of...
That pissed me off also, the two plays happened only one possession apart. Ziggy Ansah was late, and clearly launched himself helmet first into Stanton's chest; whereas Martin simply gave Stafford a slight shove. The timing of the contact relative to ball release was close to the same in both...
First off, I strongly agree with the above!
Secondly, Batch will be 40 years old in less than a month, and hasn't played football in two years.
So yeah, the heck with Batch, call Montana!
Deciding factor in the game - Field Goals. Lions have missed on 11 of 22 field goals (50%), Cardinals kicker Cantanzaro has hit 17 of 18 (94%). And that is not even talking about the Cardinals propensity to block kicks. Edge: CARDINALS!
