    ASU Football Recruiting 2023-24

Dillingham has been doing a pretty good job of bringing in HS guys so far early in this recruiting season. It will be interesting to see what other transfers he can get.

This bungle (among a few others) is primarily why I have lost any enthusiasm I may have once had for James Jones being the Suns GM. I have to admit that I hope that Ishbia considers moving on from him soon if they don't somehow win it all this year.

Suns @ Lakers Tuesday game thread, 12-5-2023 - West Quarterfinal, In-Season Tournament

I'm not so inclined to believe there is a conspiracy to favor one specific team by the league itself as much as I often wonder whether referees are benefitting monetarily from tilting the odds towards one team or another and the NBA deliberately turns a blind eye because they know investigating...

Yeah, that's bullsheet. The ball was clearly rolling across the floor when James signaled for the TO. The NBA is a joke.

It would at least be nice to see the NBA hold their mother bleeping refs accountable when they make such blatant and egregious "mistakes." At a minimum, fine them or suspend them. I personally think stuff like this should be grounds for losing their jobs. I can't fathom any reason why NBA refs...

Well, given that the Suns can't do anything about egregiously corrupt/incompetent officiating, they can only focus on the things they can control to course correct the rest of the year. So what are we going to do about the gawdawful turnovers? Are they just waiting for Beal to get healthy and...

Suns have their problems and didn't play well. And the refs royally screwed them. Those two things are not mutually exclusive facts in this or any other parallel universe.

Well there you go. What a joke. Someone needs to jump these refs in an alley.

Still need a real PG, some kind of big man help, and probably a coach that has a clue.

NBA refs are a fraud. Some day it will all come out. They do whatever they want to steer the outcomes of games.

Again, the same stuff that has plagued the Suns all season long so far - poor roster construction, poor ballhandling, lousy defensive approach, and just overall suspect coaching. You start to wonder if any of that is going to ever get straightened out this season.

I remember that. Lloyd Neal of the Blazers wore the same thing that season after a similar facial injury.

Watching the Twins succeed from afar.....

He's been fine... certainly better than I expected when we drafted him. But I was responding to Cheesebeef's quandary as to why he has seemed to have plateaued over the last couple seasons. Injuries have definitely played a role, and it also certainly seems possible that he may not progress...

Watching the Twins succeed from afar.....

Easy to forget two of the knocks on Cam coming into the draft: namely that he was an "old" rookie and had a bit of a ceiling, and that he had an injury history. Both of those factors may be why he hasn't really progressed as much as one would expect.

It is gross. But how could he be expected to know she was any other age than what she claimed to be, and apparently was (allegedly) verified to be? It would obviously be a different story if she admitted to him she was only 15 at some juncture and he disregarded that. But (so far) something like...

Well, it's terrible from a PR perspective for Giddey. But if she lied about her age to get into the 18 and over club where he met her (and therefore lied about her age to him), it's really difficult to find him at fault for that. It's not like he could be expected to have any obvious reason to...

Well, for one thing, it gets talent into the pro system to be developed faster, so less of an investment risk than the current system where drafted players have a higher probability of failing. Quarterback being the most relevant position that is highly problematic under the current system. But...

I would wager this is 100% where it's headed. Probably within the next 10 years. There will only be 40 or so teams competing in Division 1 football... and only the most profitable programs. This is also a likelihood, and probably also within the next 10 years. All of the (what are now) elite...
