Shams: Suns trade for Miles Bridges

I just ate at Taco Bell last week. Can confirm.

Shams: Suns trade for Miles Bridges

Whatever anyone does think of Bridges personally, it does give the Suns at least some potential for being decent on the court next year... depending on how it impacts team chemistry, which is a BIG question mark. It's going to be hard to say for certain until other shoes potentially drop. I...

Shams: Suns trade for Miles Bridges

Yeah, this is controversial on all kinds of levels. Bridges can play, but so much for the "high character" approach they were allegedly taking. And including the unprotected draft pick is more JJ era recklessness. The only upside is moving on from Allen and O'Neale, both of which were close to...

Shams: Suns trade for Miles Bridges

What kind of "big moves" would fit that description? The only real "big move" I could see the Suns making is dealing Booker... and they've said they aren't doing that. Moving Green isn't a big move.

2026 NBA Free Agency and Trades

He's made bank on a career of "gee, he would be so good if he only stayed healthy" which he never has been and apparently never will be.

    Suns Roster Post Draft 6-25-2026

Deal... and we'll revisit the terms if the Suns do somehow make some other "significant" move before the season. Just remind me.

    Suns Roster Post Draft 6-25-2026

$20 gets you $25 if they win 50. PS - You can't pay off in "greenies or edibles." :D

    Suns Roster Post Draft 6-25-2026

I'll cover a bet on the Suns, with their current roster, not winning 50 games.

Suns trade for Center Mark Williams

I agree, Steve. But I addressed this in another comment of yours in another thread.

    2026 off season

That's really about the size of it, though... making the best of a bad situation doesn't make it any less a bad situation. Anyone trying to hopium their way out of the reality that the Suns are screwed six ways to Sunday for the next 4 to 5 years because they both traded away all of their...

Suns trade for Center Mark Williams

To me, it seems the Suns are just doubling down on faulty assumptions: A) that Ott's "system" is in any way special and didn't actually fall apart in the second half of last year when teams adjusted to it, and B) that running out a roster that's largely dependent on guys who are perennially...

    Suns Roster Post Draft 6-25-2026

The Suns... who painted themselves into this corner with a bunch of bad moves? Those Suns? Yeah, they're regular Albert Einsteins.

Suns Draft Koa Peat at #30 in 2026 NBA Draft

Indeed. The problem isn't that so much that Peat is an undersized big with an undersized big's game (at the moment). In another era (1970s to 1990s), that might be fine. The bulk of the league was running lineups that featured guys like that. Unfortunately, the NBA is in a different era now...

    Suns Roster Post Draft 6-25-2026

I agree. The Suns need to start giving their youngsters major playing time and move out some of the useless vets eating up both payroll and PT. But apparently, the Suns seem to be deluded that they have some kind of contending roster on their hands at the moment, which is utterly laughable.

Suns Draft Koa Peat at #30 in 2026 NBA Draft

There are all kinds of potential outcomes for this. A lot depends on his work ethic. And maybe we get lucky and he has a late growth spurt... it's not impossible at 19. On the other hand, if he's lazy and entitled, like you know who... well, that's not going to be good.

    2026 off season

Yup, that should be obvious to everyone. I would wager at minimum, they are trying to move Dunn, Allen, O'Neale, and S+T Williams. Possibly another surprise name could be in there, too. They may not be successful, but 100% at least a few of those they want to clear out.

Ryan Dunn - the Real Deal or Beginner's Luck?

A lot of buzz that with the Suns taking Peat, Dunn's time in Phoenix is... well, done. There definitely won't be enough minutes for all of the overlapping guys in the front court, and Dunn really seemed to fall out of favor with Ott last year. So you have to wonder if he will be part of...

    2026 NBA Draft Thread

I mean, it's not like they gave up a king's ransom to get him. I hope he works out, but I'm not going to be holding my breath. All the obvious factors indicate it's unlikely he ever amounts to anything extraordinary. Anybody who's "excited" about this is probably going more on him being a "name...

    2026 NBA Draft Thread

Granted, you're probably not going to get a needle mover with what the Suns had to offer, but Peat is short for his position, can't shoot a lick from outside... and likely will never develop a shot (if you saw his combine workout), and is going to get chewed up by longer players on the interior...

I applaud the notion of moving up, but there were lots of guys with much higher ceilings available. Peat is about as JAG as it gets.

    2026 NBA Draft Thread

Agree. This is like the Chicago Bulls drafting Byron Houston in 1992. Another guy who had a good game for college but no way it translates to the NBA. I mean, I guess they're taking a shot, but he's just going to be another roster filler for whatever his pro career amounts to.
