Rumor: Phx is considering offering Gordon max deal (4 years, $58 million)

Good point Street, the Suns can't mortgage on anyone IMO(i'm ok with one high priced young FA like Gordon). Gortat is the only starting-quality frontcourt guy on the roster here and i would imagine that he will probably command quite a bit of value down the road if need be,depending on where the...

Rumor: Phx is considering offering Gordon max deal (4 years, $58 million)

Probably a routine exit physical. http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/8128612/2012-nba-free-agency-eric-gordon-phoenix-suns-agree-max-salary-deal

Coro: Steve Nash's career with the Phoenix Suns nears its end

I would NOT be on board for Lakers picks. Ever. Not as long as Stern is in house, anyway. Suns would surely get bent over in that scenario.

    Alvin Gentry 2012-13 (?)

Maybe its Dan Majerle's turn....good PR....just sayin. I wouldn't be in favor of that though. If the roster gets completely turned over(that isn't clear yet) it should be in the hands of an experienced HC who hire's an experienced staff to teach IMO. Unlike the NFL its more difficult to gauge...

    Alvin Gentry 2012-13 (?)

Stan Van Gundy is taking a year off. I wonder if the Suns are willing to spend on a HC with a resume' that includes plenty of playoff experience.

    Alvin Gentry 2012-13 (?)

Lame duck coach. Gentry deserves better. Then again, maybe that's the Suns part of the plan to suck and play ping pong.

    Alvin Gentry 2012-13 (?)

I'm not ready to kick him to the curb either. Like i said he's done an admirable job here and maybe keeping him on for a year or two would be a wise decision if there's to be a transition in talent. Is he without a contract next season? If he is....why? If he's a part of the...

    Alvin Gentry 2012-13 (?)

Amidst all the exciting FA news and rumors swirling around here, whats going on with Gentry's contract? IIRC he's at the end of a deal that was picked up with an option last year....(?) I respect what Gentry has accomplished here since the groceries and the front office common sense have run...

Coro: Steve Nash's career with the Phoenix Suns nears its end

It's all about timing Joe. A smart organization will try to move a player when they still have leverage over the player and the market(contract-wise)...and before a player's value begins to dip on the market(age). It can be risky PR-wise,but the Suns have simply waited too long to make decisions...

Suns meet Michael Beasley and Robin Lopez in LA

BTW,if Beasley can come in and help us suck....i'm all for it.

Suns meet Michael Beasley and Robin Lopez in LA

 right? I'd love to see Goran back. I'm probably in the minority there. We'd have to find some scoring and shooting at the 2spot though. Ray Allen! Lol ;)

    Kendall Marshall reactions/grades from media

True. Like i said in my post...i dont blame Nash and Amare personally. That would be silly of me ;)

    Babby's Season Ending Address

The only way for this team to acquire assets in the next couple years is to lose a ton of games. Thats what happens after a couple seasons when you manage your roster in a manner that aims at winning 40 games and being competitive enough to just "get in." I agree that tanking as an organization...

    Kendall Marshall reactions/grades from media

Its not Nash's fault that he's a bad defensive player. Its the Suns' fault that they were a bad defensive team. When your top two or three BEST players...your CORE guys(Nash & Amare)... are horrible defensively, you're probably not going to make many Finals appearances or win many championships...

Coro: Steve Nash's career with the Phoenix Suns nears its end

+1 I would have to agree that Amare's career at the 5 didnt contribute negatively to his health. I mean, its not like Amare was banging inside night in and night out on the defensive end ;) Interestingly though, that season he played next to Shaq...Amare's scoring and weak side defense...

    The Big Summer of 2012

+1 Take flyers on young prospects based on potential. Don't mortage anything at this point. Suns need $$$ flexibility and a top 3 pick in next years draft in the worst way. Just give the car keys to Marshall, maybe sign one quality FA and let it ride.

    Kendall Marshall reactions/grades from media

Lots of hyperbole, but still pretty dead-on-balls-accurate write up overall. My grief still isn't really as much over who we drafted so much as where we drafted. I dont like the pick but hey...we drafted 13th when we should have and could have drafted in the top 5. The Suns foolishly...

Coro: Steve Nash's career with the Phoenix Suns nears its end

I'm not complaining. :) It is too bad that we kept him here longer than we should have though...Nash would've reaped assets for this organization if the FO had had any foresight. Same with the other marquee players we let walk without any returns. Oh well. Now the Suns will have to work...

Suns draft kendall marshall at #13

Hill would be ok. You know i'd love to see Dragic back in a Suns uniform, but i doubt he's going to have PHX very high on his list of destinations.

Suns draft kendall marshall at #13

Maybe if your 2guard is a rock defensively....but i'm still not buying this take. The great teams can strongly defend at the point of attack(perimeter), and at the rim. If your guards are weak,it puts too much pressure over the course of a game on the frontcourt to cover, and subsequently are...
