Mock drafts had OF Derek Curiel going to the D-backs and he just went 5th overall to the Pirates.

Who do you want to see the Snakes draft at 15?

Dbacks take the most polished defensive catcher in the draft. Some nice pop but not great contact.

I really hope they find a way to get Blake Bowen. I think that dude is gonna be a stud!

Yet again not a fan of Hazen's picks. Lacking corner INF options and no great pitching prospects, you pass on an elite LHP in Rojas, who goes immediately after.

Kid was seen as a top 8 prospect falling to 15.

A defensive catcher with a ton of swing and miss tells me you are concerned about keeping Moreno. It reminds me of reaching for Pavin Smith because you knew Goldschmidt was gone.

if you were desperate for a defensive catcher, Daniel Jackson was there in round 2 and basically won every catcher award last year but the real pick was Marchand who went to the Rays. Perfect IF for the Dbacks but alas Hazen has to Hazen. At least it wasn't another shorty CF

For the record, the only recent pick I have liked was Waldschmidt.

Yeah, I really don’t like taking guys that have a below average hit tool. I don’t really care how much power and speed you have if you can’t use it. Honestly, there’s not a whole lot of data that shows those guys ever end up developing the hit tool either. Could be wrong on that but that’s the way I see it.

Hazen does like his up the middle guys though.
