this is like a dream matchup for me. whoever loses it's going to be funny either way. I kind of hope Mexico loses just to see how the fans react. but can't wait to hear England fans whine either.

So? Angry players make mistakes.

The English team will be fine. I am sure they were well prepared with noise blocking headphones and earplugs.

What I am wondering about is the mix of English and Mexican fans all loaded up on mucho cerveza at the game. Of course England has a long and shameful hooligan tradition.

IDK, just seems like it will be combustible.

how the hell did we do that - red card wasn't justified but i thought it was unreversable
I don't think that many people knew of the rule, either way it seems obvious that the red card should have either been rescinded or not given a +1 game. It's more than enough punishment that the team had to play with 10 men for that long in a match.

I feel bad for whoever thought this was true lol
What? Do you mean Azteca Stadium isn't almost twice the elevation of Mt Everest? I am pretty sure it is literally in the stratosphere. The Mexicans actually breathe Ozone, not oxygen. Little known fact, that is.

Tonight, in Mexico City, is the most expensive game in sports history -- relative to the price and stadium size.

The cheapest seat for Mexico vs. England, four hours before kick, is $4,585.

There are 87,523 seats in Estadio Azteca!

Trump apparently lobbied FIFA to do it.

So we have a situation where I think the outcome is correct, he didn't deserve a red card, but the process to get there is a terrible precedent. YOu can't just do stuff like that because POTUS asks for it
