He's been brilliant, kept us in games, gained wins instead of draws, draws instead of loss. I'm sure there'll be bids for him in January, hope we can keep him. Mags are doing well... hate to say that ;)

I agree! Strange as it sounds, after the dust settled, I actually felt that we were better off with Moyes than Big Sam. Kone is a dick, or more likely, his agent is a massive dick and Kone doesn't know any better. Moyes has said that we're not selling Kone. He might just be left to play in the...

Normal service has been resumed. Jeez, what a summer. Just when we're looking forward to building on the momentum from the end of last season, Big Sam gets poached by the FA, and throws us into turmoil. Now, I'm not blaming Big Sam. I believe that the England job has always been his dream, but...

Aye, that Sir John Hall has a lot to answer for. Either love him or hate him, nowt in between.

I can believe that, in fact, I've heard of that before. My dad and my uncle knew older guys who supported both teams. Slightly different, my dad enjoyed rugby, and was happy to support Newcastle Falcons as a successful NE rugby team.

Taboo??? I only support 2 teams: Sunderland; whoever's playing Newcastle ;)

Totally agree, 4-1. Never a penalty for them, and two perfectly good goals ruled out. Kevin Friend has never been remotely good to us.

For the record, I have yet to hear any Sunderland fan say that they thought it was a red card.

No mate, I said "the ref saw fit to issue a red", I didn't express certainty that it was a red. I agree with what's been said by BSA, it's a double whammy. Only the ref knows why he issued a red. Did he see something in the deliberate nature of the barge? I agree, it looked like Elliot was...

Agree Chaz, definite foul, and therefore, definite penalty. As for the red, only the ref can say why he sent the player off. Deliberate foul? Clear goal scoring opportunity? They can argue all they like, it was a foul, and the ref saw fit to issue a red. Simple as.

That ball from Kaboul was incredible! Seeing that, in comparison to his attempted clearances, maybe Sam should play him as a winger, instead of a centre back.

Borini had a couple of chances, both of which he could (should) have put away. Reckon it would really have settled things down if we'd been 3 up. So, we start another chapter, BSA. And following tradition (PDC, Gus, Dick), Big Sam faces the Mags in his second game in charge. Hoping for the...

Numb to it now, kind of have been all season. It's weird. Still care, obviously, but just numb to the pain of it. I suppose, on balance, we should be happy to have held on for a point on Saturday, but for me, the win was there. 2 up, cruising, looking like we could (should?!) score another...

Yeah, definitely good, although after last summer, I refused to believe it until he was photographed holding up a shirt.
