Hate to see him go. One of the league's all-time best shooters.

Kennard’s career 3-point percentage of .4421 ranks second in NBA history and first among active players. This is a major achievement, as only a handful of players have ever reached the 44% mark over their careers.

He's a good shooter and floor spacer, doesn't bring a lot else. Nice, basically no risk contract. But he does not replace Grayson Allen's production. Allen made more 3s per game than Kennard attempted.

If you put Kennard on our team last year he would have ranked 8th in 3s made per game. He's a little gun shy, which can be a bummer because it's the only thing he does well.

Solid, end of rotation, shooter.

Kennard would have likely shot a lot more threes on our team. Keep in mind that was easily the most threes per game that Allen had ever attempted. Kennard will not only have an ultra green light on this team, but will be heavily encouraged to fire them up.

Ott is going to give Kennard the green light. Kennard does not the possess the driving ability of Grayson but he’s lights out.

Yup. He is going to get 6 or more attempts per game, or maybe more. They will HAVE to play him a lot just to space the floor. He will definitely not be 5th among guard minutes. I am not a Kennard fan by any means, I am just looking at the roster and the mix of skills.

Great signing. Lakers are worse, Suns get better. I think he will get plenty of playing time. Currently we have Booker, Green, Gillespie, Goodwin, Kennard. That is not a bad mix of skills if you disregard the fact that there is only one PG.

Kennard is a good secondary ball handler, after faking a 3pt shot and driving. He is reasonable at D. We have Booker, Green, CG and MB as the primary ball handlers and won't miss GA a bit.

With all the random games these players take off for injuries, minutes management, etc these days Kennard is going to get plenty of burn and should earn that contract easily

I don't think he lacked a green light in LA. On a per minute basis, he took less threes than Bronny James, which I cannot imagine was part of the design.

Maybe he was surrounded by ball hogs (something we don't lack) or perhaps he's kinda like... Channing Frye. A really good outside shooter who gets gun shy.

Either way. To the crowd who thinks this is an easy Allen replacement and someone who will get more minutes than Goodwin... I think you're way off.

I like the signing. We need a reliable deep threat, rotation guy to keep teams honest and that "Steve Kerr" type at the end of a game is always great, but he's back end of the rotation player. Goodwin, Gillespe... they are both significantly better players and will feature a lot more.

Also, Goodwin is the definition of what this team is trying to do. He was huge for us, him getting hurt late in the year sucked, that dude was a pivotal player. I think he'd be a solid rotation player on any team in the NBA.

Not sure how much he will play. I know one of my biggest complaints of the 1970, 80's and 90's teams was the bench. I like this bench
