3/26/99 - Following an incident on 2/9/99 when #Suns Gorilla parodied then Kings C Oliver Miller's weight, the NBAPA filed a complaint on Miller's behalf. His agent called the event "offensive." Cliff Robinson though it was "quite funny" and "didn't think it was racist."

It wasn't racist. Unless you think our only mascot in our history is racist somehow and don't know the history. But it was fat shaming which wasn't cool.

3/27/06 - Following a 14:28 appearance (0p/2r/0a) at the New Jersey Nets (110-72 loss), his 3rd game after returning from preseason microfracture surgery, Amar'e Stoudemire would be shut down for the season due to "stiff knees," missing the Phoenix #Suns' 2006 WCF run.

3/27/81 - W/a 124-100 win over the SD Clippers, the Phoenix #Suns (56-25) clinched their 1st-ever Pacific Div. Title in 13th seasons, despite losing 5 of 7 allowing LAL to climb from 6.5 games out on 3/7/81 to 1.5 by this date. Truck: 31p/9r. Adams: 11p/8r/10a/2s.

3/28/89 - Prior to a Phoenix 127-104 blowout of the Los Angeles Lakers which clinched a playoff spot for the #Suns, Kareem's final game in Phoenix before retiring, Neal Walk presented Kareem Abdul-Jabbar with a thank you plaque. KJ: 24p/17a, Mark West: 8b. Kareem had 6p/6r/1a.

3/29/81 - Following a 105-90 win over the Utah Jazz, the Phoenix #Suns finished the 1980-81 season, their best yet, with 57 wins, their first Pacific Division Championship, and a First Round Bye. GM Jerry Colangelo would later be named #NBA Executive of the Year.

3/30/73 - After five coaches in 5yrs (including two Jerry Colangelo interim stints), the Phoenix #Suns hired John MacLeod as HC (34), a position he would hold for nearly 15yrs. MacLeod signed a 3yr, $126K contract. MacLeod had been HC at Oklahoma at $18K in '72-73.
