Well, to be fair when he signed the contract he was the top 3 highest paid no? Clearly didn’t deserve it. Didn’t do anything to warrant that big of a contract. And I don’t care about the “that’s how it works. Next man up”BS.
Was the final nail in my season tix coffin. 20+ years season ticket holder and the Kyler deal took me out…there was no way I could continue to piss that $$ away, deal with the commute and all the super-drunk game day heroes and then watch this team suck it up each home game.

You telling me, you didn’t cancel it during the Steve Wilks season?

I am not near as confident as you. KM wouldn’t have been making the passes to Wilson and McBride that JB was making today. Penalties would still occur and we couldn’t run the ball. We could have a couple more wins if KM could have just got us some first downs earlier in the year. So no I am not confident KM and DP would have combined to win today.
We would have had one more win under Kyler if Demarcado doesn’t drop the ball a half second too early.

We beat SF under Murray if Zay Jones doesn’t drop the ball

Can we trick them both into getting inside this?

Like the BrundleFly, it would start out great , but it would quickly evolve into the worst traits of both knowing the Cardinal’s luck

Let’s compare this entire season and not cherry pick games and extrapolate. Pure number JB passing yards in seven games
1,570. KM in five 962. JB YPG 224.3. KM 192.4. JB TD passes 10 KM 6. Both have 3 INT. JB sacked 18 times. KM 16. QBR JB 98.1. KM 88.6. Yards per play JB 7.4 KM 6.0.

So the backup has clearly performed better than the starter. Of that I am confident. Nice try though.

I didn't think of taking the last 3 games as cherry picking but sure...both are ass

He wasn’t the 12th highest paid QB when he signed it and got an undeserved extension. All this for a generational talent lol. Be a better poster.

If we dont extend him, this board goes bonkers with the old, "Ownership is cheap" narrative. They gave it to him after the 2022 season in which he led the team to the playoffs and while faded down the stretch, he showed growth. Hindsight is 20/20, most were happy at the time to make him the 3rd highest paid QB based on his growth at the time. No one thought at the time thr Green Bay game ruined him. We could be the Jaguars and own Trevor $55 million a year and be stuck until 2028. Most QBs are overpaid.

Well to show you how ridiculous it is let’s use passing yards by JB the last three games. Total 1,027. That comes out to 5,820 over a 17 game season which is the most in NFL history. Ridiculous for sure.

Are you trying to say the Brissett isn't ass?

In this post I am pointing out how extrapolating stats over a full season is foolish. As for JB? A good backup who can start and give you a chance. QB of the future for this team? Not at all.

This is revisionist history. The board was totally split over that extension as it was one of three massive extensions for Kyler, Kliff and Keim that happened in rapid succession right after a horrific Late season collapse and then all time playoff embarrassment.

My observations are this. This defense has been off ever since the youngblood Cody Simon got that green dot at LB. Not saying he won't eventually be of value, but the guy is late on most everything and does not fill his gaps on the run game- and now consider he is calling the front of the D? Offense problems are an overtly conservative OC relying on a OL with an overused stop gap named Beachum who is past his age now to keep covering for bad RTs brought into the fray. And for the record, and Lord knows I wanted him to succeed while traveling down denial river, KM is too short to play the position of QB at this level. Lastly, I like what I see from #7 at QB but have heard rumors about the Jacoby guy
