Needs to go down to the minors and discover another pitch. Should no longer be in the starting pitching lineup.

He needs to change his mechanics a bit as it seems the batters are now knowing how to hit is curveball a season later.

D-backs’ Lovullo on Godley’s struggles, Miller’s ‘imminent’ return
Then there’s Zack Godley, who has a 5.12 ERA in 12 starts and has been on a skid lately.

Godley has given up at least four earned runs in four of his last six starts, including seven earned runs to the San Francisco Giants on Monday and six earned runs against the Milwaukee Brewers on May 23.

D-backs manager Torey Lovullo credits that to MLB teams figuring him out a bit.

“That’s why this league is so great,” he said on 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station’s Burns & Gambo. “When you have success, players make adjustments to you and you gotta continue to make your own personal set of adjustments.”

Diamondbacks' Zack Godley: Bounces back
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire
Godley (6-5) allowed two earned runs on five hits and two walks while striking out eight across 5.2 innings to earn the win Sunday against the Rockies.

After getting shelled at AT&T Park in his previous start, Godley put together an impressive outing at Coors Field, highlighted by eight strikeouts. He had struggled mightily on the road for much of the season -- he entered Sunday's start with a 7.08 ERA away from home -- making this start even more surprising. While it's safest to start Godley only when pitches at home for the time being, this start illustrates his upside regardless of venue.

The league adjusts to you, you adjust back, it's baseball.

Zach needs adjust, it's too soon to write him off.

Writing him off is one thing. Removing him as one of our five starting pitchers when we have more talented options is something else.

Until we do, he continually has the option to rise above mediocre (yes, I know his W-L record looks good because the hitters have given him very good support).

It's is his hands.

Diamondbacks' Zack Godley: Struggles to find strike zone
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire
Godley allowed four runs (three earned) on five hits and four walks while striking out six across five innings Saturday against the Rockies. He did not factor into the decision.

Godley didn't allow a home run for the fifth consecutive start but was derailed by struggles with his control, evidenced by four walks and two wild pitches. Free passes have been the major culprit for his struggles throughout the campaign, as in the six starts he has allowed only one walk this season, he has allowed only nine earned runs across 37.2 innings.

It is up to management to make that one of our priorities vs. being satisfied with Godley's many problems (which now include being afraid to throw to bases, as well as his constantly falling off the mound after he delivers the pitch).

Godley's problems have gone beyond physical. In answer to your question, whomever it takes. That's the GM's responsibility.
