Marcus Stroman is no longer with the New York Yankees.

One day after Major League Baseball's trade deadline, Stroman was released by the Yankees on Aug. 1 ahead of their game in Miami against the Marlins.

The Yankees made the announcement, along with other roster moves, on X:

Prior to tonight’s game, the Yankees made the following roster moves:
• Added RHP David Bednar (#53), RHP Jake Bird (#59), RHP Camilo Doval (#75) and INF/OF José Caballero (#72) to the active roster.
• Released RHP Marcus Stroman from the roster.

Stroman made nine starts for the Yankees this season, going 3-2 with a 6.23 ERA.
