Dallas Wings center Teaira McCowan was seemingly not pleased after a 99-84 season-opening loss to the Minnesota Lynx.

The Wings are in a new era. There's a new head coach, several new players, including rookie Paige Bueckers, and a new system. So, it shouldn't come as a surprise that there were a kinks to work out as Dallas figures out how to make the 2025 version of the team work. Ahead of the matchup, head coach Chris Koclanes said that the team would tinker with lineups, including having McCowan come off the bench, to find the best fit.

Well, McCowan got her chance to be on the court, but it was pretty disastrous. She quickly picked up four fouls in less than five minutes of playing time and had to be benched. After the game, the Wings center was on the court for a postgame huddle, but seemingly left it early while the team was on the court. The whole thing was very awkward, and the video doesn't really help what was already a rough night for McCowan.
