WNBA Makes Big Angel Reese Announcement During Sky's Win Over Sun originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
WNBA fans were treated to an impressive slate of games on Sunday including the Chicago Sky's road venture into Connecticut to take on Marina Mabrey, Tina Charles and the Connecticut Sun.
The Sun jumped out to a 16-14 first quarter lead before Reese and the Sky came roaring back with a 24-point second quarter and dominant fourth quarter that staked Angel Reese's team to its third win of the season.
The game was noteworthy for the razzle dazzle play of Reese, who flashed versatile all-around skills that many WNBA fans did not know she had coming into the contest.
As the game began to conclude, the WNBA made an announcement on the Sky forward that began turning heads.

"TRIPLE-DOUBLE BARBIE," the WNBA wrote with a queen's crown emoji on X.
"With 11 PTS, 13 REB, and 10 AST 7 minutes in to the 4Q, Angel Reese has officially recorded her first career triple-double, and the second triple-double of the season."
"#WelcometotheW," the league added.
"And unlike Caitlin Clark, she does it with 0 attitude," one fan said.
"Haters quiet," another fan added.
"Doctor Dime is back!" another fan added.
Reese played 36 minutes in leading the Sky to a 78-66 win, sending the Sun to 2-8 on the season while the Sky are now 3-7.
Reese has plenty of room for improvement, starting with her offensive efficiency.
If she can continue to rack up assists, contributing in other ways besides rebounding and scoring, the Sky have a chance to scratch and claw their way back into playoff contention as the 2025 season continues to unfold.
