WNBA Legend Candace Parker Didn't Hold Back on What Angel Reese Needs to be Better At originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
Although she is one of the faces of the WNBA, Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese is far from a finished product.
She has shown the capability to be a good defender and a great rebounder, grabbing a WNBA record 446 rebounds as a rookie. However, if there is an aspect of her game that could be viewed as weaker compared to the other two, it would be her offensive skill set.
Following Saturday's 79-52 loss to the Indiana Fever, Reese has more career rebounds than she does points. While some may think she needs to expand her game and start launching 3-pointers, WNBA legend and three-time champion Candace Parker didn't echo that sentiment when asked by Jemele Hill of "Spolitics" what Reese needs to focus on to improve her game.
"For me I think the improvement comes from figuring out what you're gonna be great at," Parker said. "We already know she's gonna be a great rebounder, but I think it's really mastering like what spots. A lot of people come in and try to get better at everything. 'Shoot threes and I'm gonna come down and do this, this and this.' But you forget that it really is like the little tiny things."

Parker also used Las Vegas Aces star Chelsea Gray as an example, saying she frequently finds a way to get to the right elbow on offense. Parker later added that Reese doesn't seem to have that particular "spot" yet.
"My thing is what is Angel Reese's spot?" asked Parker. "And what is her go to."
Based on videos that have surfaced from recent Sky practices, Reese is focused on finding success by fighting through contact to score after grabbing offensive boards.
Much of her opportunity to score comes via the offensive glass because she grabs so many rebounds, so being able to finish those plays will only help her and the team.
On the year, Reese is averaging 9.1 points and 12.3 rebounds, making 38% of her shots. She and the sky will return to action on Tuesday against the New York Liberty at 8 p.m. ET in a game airing on ESPN.
