Despite facing both No. 1-seeded teams (Oklahoma City and Cleveland), a No. 3 seed (New York) and a No. 5 (Milwaukee) in the 2025 NBA playoffs, the Indiana Pacers are trailing in a postseason series for the first time.

With Oklahoma City leading, 3-2, in the NBA Finals, the Pacers are also facing elimination and possibly playing without point guard Tyrese Haliburton.

Haliburton and the Pacers finally admitted that the former Oshkosh North High School graduate is dealing with a right calf strain heading into Game 6 June 19. Though he played 34 minutes in Game 5 against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Haliburton missed all six of his shots and scored only four points, though he added six assists and seven rebounds.

Haliburton said this is a new injury that he got when he fell while driving in the first half, not an aggravation of a previous ankle injury.
