Coming off a World Series title with the Washington Nationals in 2019, All-Star third baseman Anthony Rendon tested free agency and signed a monster contract with the Los Angeles Angels that December.

However, the seven-year, $245 million deal hasn't panned out like it was supposed to for the Angels. The two-time Silver Slugger hasn’t played more than 58 games in any of his four years with the Angels because of injuries.

All told, Rendon has played in only 257 games -- with 12 stints on the injured list since 2021.

And heading into the 2025 season, Rendon's $38.6 million salary is not only the highest among third basemen.
