With Houston Christian eliminated, the Austin Regional is down to three teams: Texas baseball, Kansas State and UTSA.
The Longhorns let a five-run lead evaporate in a crushing regional loss Saturday. Texas now needs to win three straight games to advance to super regionals.
Freshmen Adrian Rodriguez and Jonah Williams helped break a 1-1 tie early but the Longhorns' pitching staff could not hold up. Texas is now 1-1 in its regional, with the next loss ending the hosts' season.

UTSA would not be denied scoring four times in the fifth inning and three times in the sixth to stun the tournament's second seed. The Roadrunners are no strangers to upsetting the Horns; the school 90 miles south ended Texas' 17-game winning streak earlier this year.
Here's what to know about Texas' next opponent:
After falling to the Roadrunners for the second time this year, the Longhorns will play the early game Sunday. The matchup against Kansas State, which eliminated Houston Christian on Saturday, rekindles a longtime Big 12 rivalry.
The Wildcats (35-25) are led offensively by Seth Dardar and his .330 batting average and 1.066 on-base plus slugging percentage. Keegan O'Conner leads the team with a .658 slugging percentage and 17 home runs. KSU has three pitchers who have thrown more than 60 innings: Lincoln Sheffield (5.45 ERA, 15 starts); Jacob Frost (5.97 ERA, 15 starts) and Michael Quevedo (6.28 ERA, 14 starts).
Frost took the loss in Friday's game and Sheffield pitched a strong 6⅔ innings in the win against Houston Christian. KSU made the tournament with an at-large big after losing its only game in the conference tournament.
KSU finished 17-13 in a solid Big 12 and beat other tournament teams including Arkansas, West Virginia, TCU and Nebraska, among others.
