Where are the Texas A&M Aggies ranked in the latest AP Top 25 poll? originally appeared on The Sporting News

The Texas A&M Aggies have been one of the biggest surprises so far in the 2025 college football season. They were off to a slow start against the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Saturday night, but the Aggies were able to pull away and win the game by a final score of 31-9.

Texas A&M is off to a 5-0 start this season. With the loss for Mississippi State, they dropped to 4-2 on the season. With the Aggies continuing to win football games, where are the Aggies ranked in the latest poll?

Texas A&M ranked in the top 5

When the new AP Poll was released on Sunday, the Aggies were ranked number five in the latest poll. The Ole Miss Rebels, the Oregon Ducks, the Miami Hurricanes, and the Ohio State Buckeyes were ranked ahead of Texas A&M in the latest poll.

In the next game for the Aggies, they will be facing the Florida Gators at home this weekend. Texas just lost to Florida on the road against them. The Longhorns were ranked ninth in the nation before dropping out of the top 25 entirely.

The Aggies need to be careful that they avoid losing at home this week. Texas A&M deserves to be a top five team in the nation. They have been playing like one of the best teams in the country this season. Head coach Mike Elko and quarterback Marcel Reed have done a great job this season leading this team.

They have a very good chance to make the college football playoffs. It would be a surprise if they missed the playoffs with the way they have been playing right now.
