What is new at the Peoria TTs? AdventureTracker series

AFT added the AdventureTracker series to its lineup card with a debut at Sturgis in August 2024.

It gets added to the Peoria race card for the first time this weekend. The race is the fourth and final of its class for the 2025 series, and could see points leader Dan Bromley clinch a championship. He needs only ride his 500-pound Suzuki V-STROM 1050 to an eighth-place finish or better to clinch.

The AdventureTracker class utilizes production-based race bikes that remain as close to street stock as feasible, including stock bodywork, engines, frames, swingarms, fuel tanks and more. They feature large displacement adventure bikes with engines over 1000cc.

Racers to watch at the Peoria TT races

Dallas Daniels will be back in the SuperTwins field at Peoria on Saturday. He seemed well on his way to a Grand National Championship in 2024, but suffered a broken leg in practice just days before the Peoria race and was sidelined for three races, slipping to third place in the points race.

Now Daniels, 22, a Matoon native, is battling for the top spot again, heading into the 2025 Peoria event second in the points race, trailing Briar Bauman by just seven points.

The rivals have finished 1-2 in eight of the 12 races so far on the Mission AFT SuperTwins tour.

Bauman, who rides for Rick Ware Racing, spent the last two seasons on a pioneer ride, running the KTM 790 Duke for its Austrian maker, which had never had a bike win a premier-class twin-cylinder race.

Now six of the 17 riders in Saturday's field will be on that bike.

Bauman, meanwhile, is off to another pioneer project, riding a Harley-Davidson XG750R in this 2025 season.

Oxford, Pa., native Brandon Robinson finished second in the Mission SuperTwins points race last season, and is running third this time as he arrives in Peoria.

The 41-year-old from Winn, Michigan, nicknamed "King Henry" by the Journal Star years ago, is a legend on the Peoria Motorcycle Race Club Track. He won a Peoria TT record 14 consecutive races at Peoria through 2018.

Tickets are $30 for general admission, a $5 decrease from 2024. Kids 12-years-old and younger get in free when accompanied by a paid adult. You can purchase online through the club or AFT. Chairs and coolers with non-alcoholic drinks are allowed on the PMC premesis.
