Belal Muhammad will attempt to defend his title for the first time against Jack Della Maddalena. This UFC welterweight championship bout scheduled for five rounds is taking place Saturday, May 10 at Bell Centre in Montreal.

Muhammad (24-3 MMA, 15-3 UFC) claimed the title last July with a lopsided unanimous decision win over then-champ Leon Edwards. Muhammad will enter UFC 315 on a 10-fight unbeaten streak, with key wins over Edwards, Gilbert Burns, Sean Brady, Vicente Luque, and Stephen Thompson.

Della Maddalena (17-2 MMA, 7-0 UFC) has rattled off 17 victories in a row after dropping the first two bouts of his professional career. That includes being perfect in seven UFC appearances. He most recently knocked out Gilbert Burns in March 2024, which earned him a Performance of the Night bonus at UFC 299.
