What did the Jacksonville Jaguars give to the Cleveland Browns to trade up to the second overall pick to select Travis Hunter?

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Jaguars are parting with pick No. 5, 36 (second round), 126 (fourth round), and their first-round pick in 2026.

In return, they received the second overall pick, pick 104 (fourth round), and pick 200 (sixth round).

ESPN Sources:

Browns are trading the No. 2 overall pick, a fourth-round pick (No. 104), and a sixth-round pick (No. 200) to the Jaguars.

Using the Jimmy Johnson trade value chart, the difference between the No. 2 pick (2,600) and the No. 5 pick (1,700) in terms of value was 900 points, which the Jaguars had to make up.

According to this year's value chart, the 18th pick is worth that amount, but there is always an added premium that has to be paid when dealing with future picks--they just aren't as valuable.

We also don't know when the Jaguars will be picking in 2026 and there was probably an added tax to acquire a one of a kind talent like Hunter--hence the additional selections.

Even after this deal, the Jaguars will still have 10 picks in this year's draft just as they did at the start of the night--although they will be without a second rounder.
