Those are the points against numbers for the Cards from 2003-2001 respectively? Current PA 165, which is on pace for 330. Blows away 2002 and 2003.

PF numbers are nice too. 150 this year, on pace for 300. Best was 2001 (295), while 2002 (262) and 2003 (225) just stunk.

I think we all generally believe this team is better and heading in the right direction, but the numbers really help drive it home.

Finally, a little side by side comparison:

Year 2004 2003
Record at midseason 3-5 3-5
Points For 150 115
Points Against 165 207
Fumles Rec. 11 2
Interceptions 9 5
Sacks 18 7
Record rest of season ???? 1-7 (with 1 being the
miracle Viking killer)

Anyone willing to bet we'll go 1-7 in the second half again this year?

I know nearly everyone is already convinced how things have improved, but you really get a feel for it when you stack the numbers up. :raccoon:

I can't help with the table but there aren't that many numbers so it works you can read it.

Thanks for the info it's pretty enlightening.

Man I would love to see them finish positive in points for/points against. We were positive for awhile after NO. That Buffalo game killed us though.

Great Stats RedViper. The sacks and turnovers are fantastic.

The thing that we've got going for us is that we're staying pretty healthy. Thats big.

Damn I was hoping its Josh's passing yards in the next three games. But in every aspect we are getting better.

Nah that would mean 2 sure losses and one probable loss. You get that much because you're way behind usually.

This team is absolutely improving, we COULD be seriously in the playoff hunt, we still actually are but with a lot less margin for error because of the atlanta and SF losses.

Gotta beat the Giants, then gotta beat the panthers to get to .500.

At that point we get the 2 most critical games of the year, jets in Arizona, Detroit in Detroit. But those games are irrelevant if we lose Sunday to the giants.

Detroit in Detroit should be a tough one...

Detroit's record is better on the road ( 3-1 ) than at home ( 1-3 ).

They're 4-2 with Roy Williams playing, 0-2 without. But they're 3-0 with him on the road, 1-2 with him at home.

Not much logic there.
