This is my first time playing any fantasy game, so I'm pretty excited and am following my players' scores every night. It felt good fighting it out with mulli(miniditkas) last week and winning :D (albeit narrowly) 576-510.

I'm going up against the North Peoria Back Stabbers (NP) this week and its going to be one long week in fantasy hoops for me. NP scored 563 pts last week on the back of monster performances from Nash, Boozer and Okur. From the looks of it, doesn't look the Utah big men will slow down any time soon. Further, 4 of the guys on NP have 4 games this week as opposed to just one guy on my team with 4 games. And blast! I can't root against Nash not doing well.

Why do I suddenly feel like the league has conspired against me to give me less games/week? OK. I shouldn't be complaining..I pity the guys who own Mavs players. They had just 2 frikkin games last week. ha ha

Good luck to all of you in the second week!

PS: Brevin Knight is on the block. I'm looking for a GF/SF. Send in trade ideas if you're interested.

Ahhh so you are ECR Wines?

I remember you cuz you picked after me in the draft, and all I remember about that was me picking Kaman and then you picking Okafor and me hitting my head on the desk for not even realizing Okafor was on the board.

Sorry, random story. :)

I won my first week (team pivot...PIVOT!), basically due to Charlie Villanueva. The guy is money. This week I play BIM's team. Had a good first day, but let's see how I finish up.

hahaa. I remember PIVOT!! from the draft. I was pissed at you for picking Kevin Martin - IIRC it was in the late rounds of the draft.

Ugh yeah, I took a chance on that guy, considering I'd never heard of him until that day. But he's been killer so far this year, so I lucked out for sure.

It will be a long and painful second week for me (after a pretty miserable first week) : my starting PG, Deron Williams, is outperformed by his fantasy reserve (Jarett Jack) and lacks consistency, JR Smith is on the trading block IRL and doesn't play, Adam Morrison is basically an Allan Houston clone at this time, Amare don't play more than 20 mns a game and Brad Miller is out for at least a month.

I guess that will be an easy victory for the cash money millionaires team with AI singlehandedly destroying my team.

Good thing I decided to randomly pick up Oberto today! He is killing the Suns. Hopefully this means he'll get more PT in the future.

Ollie, if you want to work out a deal for Deron Williams, let me know. I'm shopping for a point guard.

Second in Scoring in the League right now, with only 3 players doing it for me,Vince Carter, Baron Davis and Caron Butler. Jamaal Magloire playing hurt, Diop and Tyrus Thomas playing hurt, have really screw up my 4 and 5. Still doung good though, North Peoria's team is solid I played him when Boozer was going off pulling 20 points and getting a million points.

Duncan just put up 25 points, 16 boards, 3 blocks, and 2 assists.

He is single handedly saving my fantasy team this week.

Actually he saved my team this week, so I guess he reached the untradeable status in my book. But I'd listen to offers for Jarett Jack or Chucky Atkins. (Edit: I sent you a trade offer).

We're both in the same boat, though. You need a SF, I couldnt give up Harrington. I need a PG, you cant give up Deron.

I'm guessing that Crawford will put up better fantasy numbers than Jack, but Armstrong was absolutely killing me at PG.

Hopefully he'll do well for you. I'm going to miss his 30+ point outbursts. ;)

:bang:

why doesn't anyone want Brevin Knight? he is riding the pine for me and putting up 55 fantasy pts a night.

I'm playing North Peoria this week and Boozer+Nash killed my team. His team is done but Mike Miller is still playing for me. I trail 624-697 and will fall to 1-1 unless Mike goes off for 70 pts in the final quarter.

EDIT: Contrary to my expectations, Mike Miller did not score 70 4th quarter points (who would've thought!). We finished the week 629-697.
Good game Peoria!

I wanted Knight, but you didn't want to give him and May up for Harrington. ;)

Nash,

I was ready to give you Al Harrington, whom you really wanted, and is averaging 18/7 for Knight and scrub Sean May. :) Fortunately you didn't do it, as my starting SF Jefferson is out indefinitely now with a bum ankle. Harrington can play SF, PF, and C, so I was able to move him from C to SF.

Plus I recall you proposing and then backing out of a Crawford + Jefferson (pre-injury) for Knight and May. You won't find a better deal that that! Crawford is getting it together and putting together some very good games. And Jefferson (pre-injury) is as solid as they come.

I don't know who's going to offer you much. (Zach Randolph!?) Knight is riding the pine on your team and everyone knows it, so you probably won't get the dominant player that you've been looking for. Plus, you basically traded 2 scrubs for him.

The Harrington offer was a great offer for someone who is not even starting for you.

thats true. I got him for Foye and Rondo -- both guys can be solid if they get mins. but doc rivers and d casey are being idiots.

you still looking to ship Al ? ;) can make it happen dude.
this Knight guy refuses to drop below 50 per night making his bench presence even more infuriating to me.

We went back and forth for awhile and couldn't get it done. :)

Sorry if I just vented in my previous post, I just don't know what you're expecting to get in return. I did the best I could. ;)

Plus, I was able to trade Crawford for Jarrett Jack. (Even with Crawford doing great, I needed a PG badly. So I had to part with him.)

did you say vented? dude this stuff aint worth getting worked up about. :slap:

Jamal Crawford tends to be very up and down -- thats why I wasn't sure about that trade. RJ has been semi-injured this season and went down with that shaq-sprain. or i would've taken him.
Some teams are pretty strong at the swingman spot and I was looking for (reasonably) steady gf/sf's -- like maggette and ginob, but haven't heard back.

I'm doing fine at no.1 spot in my division and 3rd spot overall (im such a showoff.. damn!) so I'm kinda OK in spite of having some scrubs start for me. thanks to CP, Okafor and Miller.

but somebody take Knight away bwaaah!
