Los Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams had a very good Tuesday. Not only did he officially sign his new three-year, $33 million deal with the team, but Williams had two awesome highlights in the joint practice with the Dallas Cowboys.

First, Williams absolutely lit up Cowboys linebacker Damone Clark while protecting Rams quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. He stonewalled Clark and then tossed him to the ground. Now, this potentially could have warranted a penalty in a real game, but the physicality is a huge confidence booster in practice.

Williams is solid in pass-blocking, but certainly isn't known for it. He's never registered a pass-blocking Pro Football Focus grade higher than 57.7 in his three NFL seasons. Last year, Williams allowed 20 pressures and finished with a 41.0 pass-blocking grade.

With another full season and offseason under his belt, maybe Williams added that to his repertoire.

Williams' second highlight of the day featured another element of his game that isn't a staple: long runs. Williams broke off a long touchdown run against the Cowboys. It's unclear how long it would have been, but, for reference, Williams' longest run of 2024 was just 30 yards.

Considering the Rams added an explosive rookie runner in Jarquez Hunter, Williams will need to be more dynamic to keep his foothold as the three-down starter of the trio of him, Hunter and Corum.

Williams is locked down for the next three seasons, which is great for the Rams' continuity and the running backs' confidence. We'll see how it translates onto the field for a regular season game, and not just practice.
